Completed example: one performance post
The values below describe a fictional planning example, not a customer result. A real report should include the real post URL and a retained source observation rather than substitute invented evidence.
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Objective | Demonstrate a fictional task-list app to freelance designers. |
| Deliverable | One sponsored TikTok video on the accepted account. |
| Paying metric | Eligible platform-reported video views; not impressions or unique reach. |
| Window | 14 days from publication, with UTC boundaries in the accepted order. |
| Final eligible count | 50,000 video views; final source observation timestamp recorded in the real report. |
| Compensation | $10 per 1,000 eligible views; $1,000 gross cap; no base or bonus. |
| Review outcome | Requirements met and $500 gross earnings approved for this example. |
| Brand funding / fee | $1,050 before tax initially funded; $25 brand fee settled on $500 earned spend. |
| Creator fee / net | $50 creator fee; $450 net before payout costs. |
| Future campaign balance | $500 unused budget + $25 matching unused brand fee = $525. |
| Sales result | Not measured in this example; views do not establish revenue. |
Keep pending, approved, released and received funds as separate statuses. A post approval is not evidence that a bank payout has arrived. Use the payment guide to understand those stages.
Report metrics without misleading totals
Retain a separate row for each post and source. Summed reach across posts is not automatically unique campaign reach. Missing metrics are unavailable—not zero. A provisional observation before tracking closes should remain labelled provisional.
If you report an engagement rate, name the included actions and denominator. If you report ROI, identify the revenue attribution method and relevant costs. Do not derive sales ROI from video views or claim attribution proves incrementality. Read views vs reach vs impressions for a worked comparison.
Connect the report to the next decision
Finish with a short decision: which audience or creative hypothesis was tested, what the evidence supports, and which uncertainties remain. Assign an owner to unresolved reviews, missing source data and payment questions.
Swayed's planned approval workflow is designed to keep the order, submitted post and review evidence together. The platform is not live yet; this template works with your current tools today. Test the arithmetic in the CPM calculator, but keep eligibility and review decisions in the actual accepted agreement.
